SPOTLIGHT: 26th Best In Show
The 26th Working Group Show has wrapped up and the long awaited results have been announced. The SUWC's latest Best In Show is a junior Samoyed dog named Elite's Corylus av Asgard, owned by Elite and shown here by Rontal Cristina.
With only a handful of shows to his name, "Cory" and his team are very proud to take home both the mantles of both Best In Specialty and Best In Show, and especially in one of the best represented group shows for some time.
"We are so happy with his recent results," said owner Elite. "We tried our best to train him to become what he is now, and we can only thank him for giving us the opportunity to play and live with him."
Judge's notes mention his excellent substance and quality of shape overall. He has an impressive tail- and ear set with a beautiful, full coat, expressive eyes, and the all-important trademark "Sammy smile." These observations were not a surprise to Cory and his team.
"We fell in love with him as soon as we saw him," they say. "Even among all the other puppies, when we held him in our arms he just felt special. He was a fluffy little snowball rolling around."
His mischievous expression is not lost at home, either. Cory is "very intelligent, but he can be a bit stubborn, especially about his food. Salmon especially. He also loves to play hide and seek, especially in the snow, but once he's inside he's a cuddle-bug. He particularly likes watching Daffy Duck with the family."
The SUWC congratulates Elite and Cory both, and we hope to see both of you in the ring again soon.
